Happy October 19th. What happened to this year? I’ve been doing a little work even though we spent the last weekend driving around enjoying the fall foliage! It has been wonderful. I’ve also spent time cleaning up my art room before the snow flies. Still have work to do – Like donating my soft pastels — and giving the grand kids some of the older paper.

This is an oil pastel of one of the scenes from Ludington State Park. Don, Niki (the dog) and I have spent some time hiking the beautiful trails. The water is very clean and the beaches are sandy, so the reflections are outstanding. This oil pastel is smaller, only 9 x 12, on sand paper. Let me know what you think —

The next offering  is bigger  – It is 24 x 24 birch panel primed with gesso and the sandpaper primer. I used my oil sticks with a colorshaper to pull the reflections down. That worked out nicely!

I have totally revamped my birch trees from a few weeks back. You’ll have to wait to see what I do to that one!
